Its Food and Drink Festival time again in Christchurch and the organisers have extended an invitation to DF&D members to be part of the 2020 event. This will allow you to showcase and sell your products in a dedicated Dorset marquee, and take advantage of the subsidised rate offered to DF&D members.

This year, for the first time ever, the event will take place over three days and coincides with the May Day Bank Holiday on Friday 8 May, as well as the 75th VE Day celebrations, so it’s bound to attract huge audiences! 2020’s event will be a fantastic celebration of food, drink, entertainment and fun, as well as the huge amount of local food that will be on offer, there will also be a performance from the Red Devil Parachute Display team, national chefs, livestock shows, cookery classes, plus live music and dancing with a VE Day theme.
As well as being the first year that the festival is running for three days, this year’s festival will also be more environmentally friendly than ever, there will be no single use plastics sold anywhere within the festival and there will only be compostable or reusable plates, cutlery and straws as well as reusable cups. The event takes over the whole of Christchurch with a full road closure for the three days along the high street and down to the quay. The organisers really use this event to celebrate passion-driven, sustainable and ethically minded producers who bring the very best food and drink in the region and work to support small producers and independent food businesses, making it a great event for DF&D members to attend.
