The spooky season might be over, but that doesn’t mean that all the pumpkins have to go to waste, especially not with the vast number of recipes and tasty treats that can be made out of pumpkins. Plus, pumpkins make great treats for animals, including birds, hedgehogs and squirrels, so even though Halloween is over and done with, here are some of the best places to grab a few pumpkins for cooking or your garden wildlife to enjoy.
Christchurch
In Christchurch, you’ll find Sopley Farm which is well known for the quality of its produce. They have a public pumpkin patch, where visitors can pay for what they pick, so for post Halloween pumpkins, head there.
Corfe Castle
Ok, not the castle itself, but in that general vicinity is where you’ll find Lenctenbury Farm, pumpkins are reaching the end of their season now, so make sure to get in there quick. There is no entry fee to get into the farm, you just pay for what you’re taking with you.
Now you’ve grabbed the leftovers from the pumpkin patch, you’ll need to come up with a few ideas of what to do with them.
