The team at Meggy Moos are celebrating after receiving two Gold Awards at the Taste of the West awards. Both their Unhomogenised Whole Milk and their Semi Skimmed Milk have been recognised with this prestigious award.
The Taste of the West Awards is the largest independent regional food group in the UK are look to promote and support food and drink producers from across the south west including Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. Their aim is to champion food and drink producers in the West Country as well as the places that serve and sell them, proving that the South West really does produce the best of British food and drink.
The annual awards scheme ensures that high standards are maintained and winners are given award logos so customers know they are buying quality, local West Country products. The list of results from the first round of judging are now online for everyone to view, with stages 2 and 3 being announced in July.
Speaking about the honour, Rachel at Meggy Moo’s Dairy, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded Gold in this year’s Taste of the West Awards for both our Unhomogenised Whole Milk and our Semi Skimmed Milk. This is the first year we have entered any of our products, so to receive two Gold awards is just incredible and we are so grateful for all the support from our customers, our stockists and most importantly, our beautiful cows who produce it!”
This isn’t the only award that the team have won recently they were also named Food Producer of the Year in the DFDFA for 2019.
