Now in it’s 10th year the Great Dorset Chilli Festival is back and hotter than ever in August 2020.
A great weekend for chilli enthusiasts, food lovers and the whole family. Held at the home of the Earl of Shaftesbury at St Giles Park the festival is a real “chilli fiesta”. Stall selling all things chilli, from pepper plants to cayenne condiments will line the park. Whether you want to grow your own chillis, from seed or buy a ready plant at the festival, or test your tastebuds you’ve come to the right place. Stalls will be selling a huge array of products including, chilli pepper plants, condiments, seeds, ceramics and more. Learn something new with cooking demonstrations from professional chefs and local food heroes. Find out the secrets of growing the perfect chilli pepper with talks on growing chillis.
Enjoy artisan food, spicy street food, local ice creams (to help you cool off) and local beers. Some of the most dedicated independent sauce manufacturers and retailers attend the Great Dorset Chilli Festival. Some of the country’s best specialist chilli growers come to showcase their plats and seeds to the thousands of visitors who attend the hottest event in Dorset.
