This event is part of Love Dorset Food & Drink Weeks. A 15 day long celebration of all the great food and drink made right here in the county. This will be a fantastic opportunity for all of us to show our love for our favourites amongst the delicious foodstuffs and libations created by our Dorset neighbours – and hopefully find some new tastes and tipples with which to start a relationship!

The North Dorset village of Child Okeford is set to enjoy a delicious taste of the East, to help change the lives of rural families in Asia and Africa who suffer from hunger.
The Cafe on Goldhill Organic Farm is holding a special evening in aid of the fundraising campaign Curry for Change. One in nine people around the world suffer from chronic hunger, and Curry for Change aims to help rural families grow more food, earn an income and build knowledge about nutrition and health.
On the evening of Saturday 23 February between 6.30pm – 9.30pm the cafe is inviting people to come along and enjoy a delicious selection of curries. You can sit down and enjoy the company (bring your own drinks) or collect a takeaway. There is no fixed charge, but as cafe owner Sharon Foxton explains:
“All we ask that you make a donation that will go directly to the the charity; a pound from each donation will be used towards the cost of ingredients, and all of our staff and preparation costs we are providing at no charge.” Booking is not required.
The Cafe on Goldhill Farm can be found at Ridgeway Lane, Child Okeford DT11 8HB
Curry for Change sends 94p of every donation directly to support work of charities Find Your Feet and Health Poverty Action with projects that enable people in rural areas of Asia and Africa to change their situation for the better.
