A week-long celebration of local food and drink in and around Bridport.
If you are passionate about food and where it comes from then you are in for a real treat again at this year’s Bridport Food Festival.
Throughout the week the whole town and surrounding area will be celebrating local food and drink.
Food and drink producers are opening their doors to the public to showcase what they do; restaurants, cafes and pubs are putting on special menus alongside lots of other activities including master classes, quizzes and tastings. The Ivy House Kitchen, Baboo Gelato, Dark Bear, Furleigh Estate, Palmers Brewery, Frampton’s Butchers, Leakers Bakery, The Ropemakers and The Taj Mahal are a few of the businesses taking part as well as the Arts Centre who have an evening with Jay Raynor, award winning writer and broadcaster, at the end of the Festival on 15th June.
The popular Taste Trail takes place from 1st June – 15th June giving visitors a chance to try different cuisines and visit different venues.
The week culminates with the main celebration at Asker Meadows where over 60 local food & drink producers and food-to- go caterers are joined by the Bridport Round Tables’ Beer Festival . As well as being able to sample the best local food and drink in the area, there is a whole host of food related activities for the whole family to enjoy including:

• Teen Zone with Dorset Forest School
• Bake It! Competition Tent
• Festival Tea Tent
• Cookery Book Swap
• Festival raffle
The Beer Festival opens at 6pm on Friday 14 June. Over 80 real ales and ciders will be available alongside a good selection of street food. Saturday’s main event is open from 9:30 am – 5pm. Entry is £3.50 for adults and FREE to youngster 16 years and under. Advance tickets from Bridport Tourist Information Centre are £3.
