Join us for a wonderful Dorset-inspired supper, featuring the inspirational Carnegie Medal-winning author Beverley Naidoo. Alongside a packed programme of pop-up poetry, prose and literary games, guests will also be invited to participate in a unique literary challenge.  Everyone will be able to contribute words, phrases, characters, situations, locations and ideas for a future collection of short stories from local publishers Little Red Writers.

Dr. Beverley Naidoo is an award-winning South-African born writer, exiled to Britain during the days of apartheid. She is a novelist, children’s book author and biographer, and lives in Dorset. The Other Side of Truth, a refugee story of how political corruption affects the children of an outspoken writer, was awarded the Carnegie Medal.  She has also won the Josette Frank Award twice for Journey to Jo’burg and No Turning Back and Jane Addams Peace Book Award for short stories in Out of Bounds. Her latest book is Cinderella of the Nile.
