The Salt Pig in Wareham and The Salt Pig Too in Swanage both comprise of an urban farm shop, butchery and a café.
Quality and provenance is key, and our ethos is to provide people with quality food from their local surroundings at an affordable price, showing them what is available on their doorstep.
Our meat comes from farms within an 8-mile radius of both shops, and our fish is caught locally using techniques that promote sustainability. Our vegetables are from small local producers, and we sell a wide range of local cheeses. The urban farms shops also sell a range of truly local wine, beers and ciders. Plus, great coffee and homemade cakes!
The meat and fish we sell in the shop feature throughout our café menus, which change daily to showcase our fresh produce. Try a slice of our famous deep-pan quiche, bacon and sausages made on site with pork from our own rare breed pigs, or some locally caught pan-fried trout, all freshly prepared and cooked by our team of talented chefs.
