In our kitchen on the Hampshire/Dorset border we carefully oven roast our nuts on trays, turning regularly to ensure an even roast. Once roasted and cooled we mill by hand turning whole nuts into our creamy nut butters adding just a touch of Cornish sea salt to bring out their nuttiness.
We started making our nut butters after losing weight and finding them to be a great source of plant protein. High in healthy fats and protein and low in natural sugars (we don’t add any!) they make a delicious and versatile addition to the store cupboard. Add to smoothies, spoon into porridge or simply top your favourite toast, natural and delicious!
