The Seaside Boarding House, Restaurant & Bar is set on the cliffs overlooking the sweep of Dorset’s famous Chesil Beach and the wide expanse of Lyme Bay.
Welcoming sandy feet, windswept dogs and weather-beaten walkers who have worked up an appetite, The Seaside Boarding House is a unique destination with a timeless feel.
Those venturing inside will find a restaurant, bar and terrace providing an oasis of relaxed sophistication, all meticulously molded according to the vision of Managing Director, Mary-Lou Sturridge. Inspired by childhood memories and the atmosphere of long summer holidays spent playing on the beach, this distinctive style, featuring lovingly renovated furniture & fittings from the early 1900’s to the present day, is a thoughtful combination of the old and the new.
Upstairs The Seaside Boarding House has nine large bedrooms, all surrounded by inspiring coastal scenery and the surf’s bedtime song.
The location is stunning whether you’re looking for a lunch with a view, a leisurely sundowner or a hearty dinner with suitable support from the deep and eclectic wine list.
An ideal retreat for everyone from passers-by to dinner guests, sampling a menu that champions produce from Dorset’s fishing boats, farms and smallholdings, this is a place to soak up the views, enjoy long walks along the neighboring South West Coast Path and return to the call of the bar’s classic cocktails.
Open from early morning to late at night, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, cocktails and dinner seven days a week.
The Seaside Boarding House, Restaurant & Bar, is three hours from London and three minutes from Bridport town.
