We are a small family farm in Milton Abbas and specialise in producing grass fed lamb, lamb burgers, lamb koftas and mutton from our mixed flock of around 70 breeding ewes. Our Dorset lamb is incredibly popular and we attribute its quality to the ewes and lambs being able to enjoy a natural lifestyle grazing on the downland.
Lambing is always during the early weeks of April so as to have plentiful grass to turn the ewes and lambs out on once they have lambed. During lambing season, we’re happy to welcome visitors to the farm to show them around and let them meet the new lambs.
All our butchery is carried out locally and we sell our store lambs at local markets across the region and at the regular Wilton Sheep Fair. Come visit us at one of these events to sample some of our top quality lamb, at every event we attend, we bbq our delicious lamb burgers and koftas. We use local bakers’ rolls and flat breads and make our own mint jelly, relishes and salsas to give you a hearty and delicious lunch or snack while you’re exploring the market. Alternatively, you can find our lamb products at pubs and restaurants around Dorset or have it delivered straight to your door. We can offer lamb or hoggit boxed, labelled and packed ready for the freezer from August until April. Our lamb is a high quality and is ideal for people who enjoy sustainable, local food.
As well as raising sheep, our farm also has horses and is home to a point to point training yard, farmhouse bed and breakfast and a fabulous new holiday let with hot tub. We are popular with those looking for riding holidays and guests are also able to bring their own horse on holiday with them as we have ample stabling and grazing.
